Cate has been defending people charged with crimes since being admitted to the California bar in 2006. She worked as a deputy public defender in Kern, Solano and Napa Counties, and has been in private practice since 2016. She has completed more than 50 jury trials. Cate is smart and friendly, which helps her connect with clients, jurors, and adversaries alike.

Laina T. Chikhani
In her more than 12 years as criminal defense attorney, Laina has directly handled well over 500 DUI cases. Additionally, she has successfully resolved numerous domestic violence cases, including preventing the filing of many cases by advocating for her clients shortly after their arrests. She is passionate about defending her clients' rights, both in and out of court. Her efforts have allowed many to avoid harsh repercussions, such as fines and jail time.
